Sensory Rooms

Is your church or community centre holding an event which would benefit from a sensory area.
Get in touch with us, we can help you create your own, or we can come and do it for you.

There are several different sensory rooms. It all depends on the outcome you require. We put together sensory rooms and/or quiet rooms according to the individuals needs.

If you have a crowded event and there will be lots going on, we recommend you have a quieter/ darker room, with less sensory input. You need a room where people can relax and self-regulate.

On the otherhand, if you want to provide a space where people can explore different senses and learn through play and sensory experiences, then you can throw in there: the coloured rice, different lights, water play, messy play, possibly different soothing music in the background, this will help those who need a more tactile input to explore and learn rather than just words or audio. As long as this is done in a space that is adequate for this. Keep things separate and in order with symbols.
